Who we are

Schmidt Consulting Group ("SCG," "we," "us") is an agency growth consulting firm operated by KRT LLC, based in Minnesota. This policy explains how we handle information collected through www.schmidtconsulting.group.

What we collect

We do not require accounts, logins, or registration to use this website. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by submitting a contact form or subscribing to a newsletter).

Our analytics and marketing tools may collect information about the page and visit. That can include the referral source, device and browser details, approximate location, IP address, and cookie or similar identifiers. What each provider collects and how it uses that information is described below and in the provider's privacy policy.

Analytics and tracking tools

We use the following tools to study site use and marketing performance. They also help us improve the website. Most are loaded through Google Tag Manager, while HubSpot is loaded separately.

Site analytics and marketing tracking are disabled on the software project estimator and its shared-report page. This includes session replay, HubSpot tracking, and Vercel Analytics. Information submitted through the estimator's email gate is handled as described on that form.

Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads

Measure website visits and marketing performance. Depending on our configuration and your browser or consent settings, Google may use cookies or other identifiers for measurement and advertising. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Microsoft Clarity

Provides session replays and heatmaps to help us understand how visitors interact with the site. Clarity masks input content and other content it classifies as sensitive. Clarity's privacy policy: privacy.microsoft.com

LinkedIn Insight Tag

Collects data about visits from LinkedIn for ad attribution and audience building. If you are logged into LinkedIn, LinkedIn may associate your visit with your LinkedIn account. LinkedIn's privacy policy: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights

First-party, privacy-friendly analytics provided by our hosting platform. Tracks page performance and Core Web Vitals without using cookies or collecting personal data. Vercel's privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

HubSpot

Measures page visits and may associate site activity or a supported form submission with a contact record when HubSpot's tracking and form tools are enabled. HubSpot's privacy policy: legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. The tools listed above may set cookies for site function and analytics. Other cookies may support measurement or advertising. They can distinguish between visitors, attribute results, or build advertising audiences.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Most browsers also support "Do Not Track" signals and Global Privacy Control (GPC). Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to browse this site.

How we use your information

We use site data to find usability issues and see whether our content and campaigns work. It also helps us improve the website and build or measure advertising audiences. We do not sell or rent personal data. The providers listed above process data for the purposes described in this policy and under their own privacy terms.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to each tool's default retention settings. Google Analytics retains data for 14 months. Microsoft Clarity retains session data for 30 days. You can request deletion of any personal data we hold by contacting us.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (including the Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act, California Consumer Privacy Act, and others). These rights may include:

  • Requesting access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Requesting correction or deletion of your data
  • Opting out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell personal data)
  • Opting out of targeted advertising

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

Third-party links

This site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our tools or legal requirements change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
